Thunderstorm Watch

What happens, better yet how do you plan your day when you hear on the news that there is a thunderstorm/flood watch in your area. I'm quite sure you've planned your day the night before. Work is probably on the agenda for most people. And if the storm begins before you leave your home to go to work, you don't just stop preparing and say, "Well I have to stay in." No, you keep on going. You may have to change your attire for the day. Add a raincoat, rain boots and an umbrella for protection.

So what about when the storms of life come on the scene when you have already prepared? Many people lose their faith, become fearful or want to give up on life. But why? If you just added a little more protection from the thunderstorm before you left home to go to work, do the same thing when the unexpected happens in your life. Add a little more prayer, a little more praise, a little more silence in the storm of life to cover yourself from losing your will to do what you are to do. Yes, the storm may slow you down just a little, but never lose focus of your goal. And eventually the rain/thunderstorm stops and the sun shines again.

Some Yard Work Accomplished

The weather yesterday was beautiful, it was not too cold nor too hot. It was perfect. Although a little cloudy and moments of drizzle, I was able to work in the front yard. The blessing in it was, I was kinda dreading it, and received a call of help that very morning, before my feet hit the floor. It was a friend of mine who was finishing up some yard work for his uncle. When I mentioned that I was going to work in my yard as well, he offered to come over. I was so happy. I jumped out of bed to prepare myself. As a result, he cut the grass in the front and helped me clean the drive way. We then moved to the back yard, but that's when the drizzle started, and most people who know me know that any sign of rain, I'm gone. Rain and my hair don't have a good relationship. So we came inside. He offered to come back to help me finish and I accepted.
