Weather People lie and still keep their jobs.

I was told the only job where people get away with lying is Weather Forecast. Sometimes they are accurate, but many times they aren't...and they still get paid. How about that. Today, they weren't too off. It was cloudy with a little drizzle as they reported. So I dressed appropriately. I do take a look outside or even go out in the morning to kind of test it for myself.

Up and Down with the Weather!

What's up with the weather. Early last week was very cold outside. The past few days were very warm. How is one to dress. I normally put my summer clothes away by now, but it's hard to tell which way the wind is going to blow. Last week the weather went as low as 40's and yesterday we experienced a beautiful "summer" day--in the 80's. Oh well, we must just go with the flow of things. Besides mother nature does her own thing.

Rain, Rain and More!

Rain, rain and more rain. It's been taking place off and on since Saturday night. Well, we don't have to worry about having a drought in this area at all. It's so much accumulation that many areas in NJ are experiencing lots of flooding. That's the downside of it. Especially for those who live nearby lakes and oceans. The water begins to overflow onto people's property and certain highways causing major damage. There's no need to complain, we must flow with the weather, it's something beyond our control. Let nature takes it's course and love life in spite of. Be grateful for another day to be able to witness it. Why? Not only is it a necessity to help sustain life on earth, it's just for a short period of time. It does pass and the sun shines again.

Don't Judge Your Day By Morning Temperatures!

It is so important to check the weather forecast before you leave home for your daily activities, especially work. Well I didn't do so this past Tuesday and experienced a very challenging day. Traveling home from vacation Monday night into Tuesday morning, it was raining like "cats and dogs". I was picked up at the train station and brought home just to shower and change for a scheduled meeting at 9:00AM. Although the rain subsided, it was still cool and cloudy. So, I dressed for the day according to what I was experiencing at the time. As I was on my way to the meeting, it was as the sun magically appeared and a heat wave began. I was so over dressed for the day, but I had to bear it. I learned my lesson: Don't judge your day by what's going on in the morning in New Jersey!

Keep Cool in the Heat!

How do you handle 90+ degrees weather? Start your morning drinking a 16oz. glass of alkaline water. Make sure you carry a some water with you throughout the course of the day, especially if you work outside. By the end of the day, you should have consumed over a 1/2 a gallon, better yet, 1 gallon. Eat foods that are light. There are foods that are alkaline to help keep the body cool in the summer months. Go for it and get started today to keep your body cool in 90+ degrees weather.

Thunderstorm Watch

What happens, better yet how do you plan your day when you hear on the news that there is a thunderstorm/flood watch in your area. I'm quite sure you've planned your day the night before. Work is probably on the agenda for most people. And if the storm begins before you leave your home to go to work, you don't just stop preparing and say, "Well I have to stay in." No, you keep on going. You may have to change your attire for the day. Add a raincoat, rain boots and an umbrella for protection.

So what about when the storms of life come on the scene when you have already prepared? Many people lose their faith, become fearful or want to give up on life. But why? If you just added a little more protection from the thunderstorm before you left home to go to work, do the same thing when the unexpected happens in your life. Add a little more prayer, a little more praise, a little more silence in the storm of life to cover yourself from losing your will to do what you are to do. Yes, the storm may slow you down just a little, but never lose focus of your goal. And eventually the rain/thunderstorm stops and the sun shines again.

Some Yard Work Accomplished

The weather yesterday was beautiful, it was not too cold nor too hot. It was perfect. Although a little cloudy and moments of drizzle, I was able to work in the front yard. The blessing in it was, I was kinda dreading it, and received a call of help that very morning, before my feet hit the floor. It was a friend of mine who was finishing up some yard work for his uncle. When I mentioned that I was going to work in my yard as well, he offered to come over. I was so happy. I jumped out of bed to prepare myself. As a result, he cut the grass in the front and helped me clean the drive way. We then moved to the back yard, but that's when the drizzle started, and most people who know me know that any sign of rain, I'm gone. Rain and my hair don't have a good relationship. So we came inside. He offered to come back to help me finish and I accepted.
